Fort Leavenworth Unified School District 207 offers a program called Hearts Apart. It is designed to help students cope with the deployment of a parent. Students whose parents are currently deployed, in MCTP or TDY are eligible to join. Parent permission is required for your child to participate. You can request a permission slip by emailing me at [email protected]. At MacArthur, Hearts Apart will typically meet after school once a month, with a couple of Saturday activities throughout the school year as well.

We will be having our big kickoff on Saturday, October 1st from 9-11am at the Harrold Youth Center. This event was rescheduled from Sept 17th.

RSVP to me is highly encouraged so that we can make sure we have enough supplies for everyone. This is a family event, so all are welcome! Please see the attached flier for more information.
