Sarah Hughey - MacArthur Music

 

I grew up in a military family, so I understand first-hand many of the challenges that your students may face in school. As your general music teacher, I focus not only on music, but on social-emotional learning, and cross-curricular activities that build real-life value to your student's learning experience. While in music class, your student will learn through singing, dancing, and playing various musical instruments. We utilize online programs such as QuaverEd.com and SmartMusic to provide students with the opportunity to access fully-immersive music lessons either in person or online. 

 

I currently hold a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Kansas. I am also certified for Level I Orff-Schulwerk from through the American Orff-Schulwerk Association. 

 

There will be opportunities throughout the year to see your child demonstrate what they've learned. Please watch for communications about upcoming dates, and what's happening in your child's classroom.
