Welcome to Mastery, Acceptance, and Confidence!

My name is Tracy Johnson and I am ecstatic to be able to continue my educational and administrative career serving the students, staff, and families as the principal of MacArthur Elementary.

My educational core beliefs center around the whole child. I have a genuine interest in helping students achieve social, emotional, and academic success and I believe that all students are capable of learning. I take pride in our staff and their ability to provide a safe, respectful, inclusive, rigorous, and engaging learning environment for our students. Maintaining a positive culture and climate, having a shared vision working toward common school and district-wide goals, and focusing on effective instructional and assessment strategies are keys to student success.

Communication, collaboration, and family engagement with the curriculum at home will be imperative in helping our students achieve at the highest levels. Any impactful school requires all adults to play their individual roles effectively as a cohesive unit. As a dedicated team, we  will create a community of confident learners by fostering perseverance and a sense of belonging for all.
